Environmental Assessments

Ecological Surveys & Planning provides statutory and informal ecological assessments to all sectors, as well as providing scientific research and property pre-purchase reports.

The business has over thirty years experience and has clients ranging from ‘mum and dad’ customers needing basic assessments for a new home or small subdivision; corporate clients at all scales; state infrastructure bodies such as Sydney Water, WaterNSW, and Endeavour Energy; private schools and religious groups; government clients at local, state and federal levels; and non-government organisations such as public interest environmentalist groups.

Ecological Surveys & Planning provides an expert witness service in selected circumstances and has primarily worked with local government and the NSW environment agency in this capacity.

The business is a small firm with low overheads and as a result, fees are often far lower than larger operators. ESP can do most of the ecological tasks that the large firms provide, including project management such as co-ordination of consultancies and subcontractors. Co-ordination is important, even for the smallest jobs, because the correct sequencing of assessments from bushfire consultants, flora/fauna consultants, wastewater consultants, and architects, makes a project cheaper and smoother.

We are experienced in ensuring that all of the relevant consultants and contractors work together, or at least in the correct sequence, to enable effective assessment and modification of your proposal.
