Accreditations

Dr Steve Douglas is recognised by NSW DCCEEW as a species expert in relation to approximately 45 threatened plant species, Endangered populations, and Threatened Ecological Communities.

Dr Douglas is also accredited under the Biodiversity Conservation Act as an Expert Report author for 8 threatened plant species at present, and would be eligible for that status for many more, subject to successful nomination.

He has completed 8 Expert Reports for NSW Government clients in relation to the Cumberland Plain Conservation Plan, the proposed Great Western Highway Tunnel, and the proposed Outer Sydney Orbital road.

He is a member of the NSW DCCEEW Species Technical Group in which he is funded on an as-needed basis to provide advice to NSW DCCEEW about the management of threatened flora and ecological communities.

He is also consulted by the Commonwealth DCCEEW, and has provided advice and reports to both NSW and Commonwealth Threatened Species Scientific Committees.
